The two books: Al-Muʿālajāt al-Buqrāṭiyyah and Firdaws al-Ḥikmah are considered two of the most renowned books in the Arabic language in the field of medicine. The book is made up of ten chapters, each featuring a central theme in medicine, illnesses of the skin, head, face, skull, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, mouth, throat, glands, chest, lungs, diaphragm, heart, stomach, oesophagus and finally the spleen, and intestines.
